Sorry i shoulda posted a comment with this. It's kind of an inside joke for bass players. Both Jaco Pastorius and Ray Brown were prime innovators in their respective eras and instruments. Jaco made his mark playing electric bass, Ray on upright. Ray does not like playing electric and is obviously not amused at playing it, despite Jaco's enthusiasm. ha,ha - a little?
